I like to start with just one design. Usually the inspiration comes from what the client doesn’t like, more than what they do. Starting with just one design, the client can give better feedback, rather than have to focus on 5 or 6 different designs at once. If I’m way off base with the concept, we just start again. It’s very rare I get to 4, but I limit the rate to just 4 concepts. Again, I believe in building an image/brand.
