Chelsea Byers

Ataraxia is a porch swing-bed that I designed for an outdoor environment. Ataraxia has an adjustable backrest that allows you to choose the level at which you would like to sit, be it fully upright, several levels of reclined, or completely laying down. Through the building process I used techniques such as welding, wickering, woodworking, sewing, splicing, and whipping. All materials are sun and weatherproof.
