Stick ‘n’ Stack is a flexible modular storage system for private homes, offices and public spaces. The design is inspired by stilt houses and their irregular and messy constructions. I wanted to turn a normally strict functionality into a dynamic decorative element.

The system consists of four metal grid boxes and four legs in pinewood. The sizes of the boxes are created to fit A4, A3, books and magazines. The boxes also fit into each other making it a knock down product for smart packaging and distribution. The grid makes it easy to assemble using screws and plates.

Moving and rotating the boxes becomes a sculptural and playful process where the user is in charge, using their own imagination to find a personal shape suitable for their stuff.

By adding more legs and boxes it can easily be transformed in size and shape making it adaptable for different rooms and environments. Putting several units together creates a natural room divider, suitable for e.g. office space.
