Effecticons :: Medical Icons

Medical students across the world study and memorize thousands of drug reactions and side effects per the requirements of their pharmacology courses. Currently, no visual graphic study tool exists in the pharmacology field. This project explores a visual approache to the study of pharmacology as a compliment to the existing text-based system. The objective of the effecticon project is to create a family of icons using a cohesive visual language, where individual icons can be quickly recognized and identified as a representation of the corresponding medical side effect.
