Twitter Tree

8.6' x 6.6' print mosaic depicting the tweets of illustrator and comic artist Yuko Ota over a two month span literally tweeted by birds sitting in a sprawling tree.

The tree is made up of 8" x 8" tiles based on a modular design. The branches can be arranged in multiple ways allowing for different connections and tree shapes. This system can accommadate many more tweets over a longer span being able to change based on what has been tweeted.

The birds themselves represent the conversations between Yuko Ota and her followers through her twitter account. Yuko is represented by her trademark raven mascot the "mawlie" while her followers are personified as the twitter bird. The conversations are relayed by speech bubbles (each bubble is one tweet) with Yuko's tweets being black and her followers white.

Finally, every link provided has its own bubble wherein a screenshot of that links page can be found.
