Coanda: Smart Blade-less Ceiling Fan
The Coanda is a smart, learning ceiling fan that connects to smartphones in order to learn the users’ preferences, communicate with smart thermostats in order to ?nd an optimal setting based on the user’s presets, turn itself on or off depending on the user’s location, and regulate its intensity and air?ow direction. The design of the fan is inspired by air pressure ampli?ers as well as internal fans found in laptop computers, and uses a series of electromagnetic motors to propel the fan blades, with a built-in LED-powered light ?xture that provides bright illumination at low energy costs
