The Chaparral C1 is the pre-production version of the autonomous vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) cargo aircraft we've developed at Elroy Air. It serves to validate the aircraft itself along with our intended flight and ground concept of operations (CONOPS).
As co-founder, it was immensely satisfying to work alongside our Design, Engineering, and Operations teams in bringing C1 to life. I collaborated and helped to drive decision making in the design, development, testing, and productization of this aircraft.
Elroy Air and the Chaparral aircraft stand to date as one of the hardest yet most fulfilling endeavors of my career. I am extremely proud of what I've helped to build and the team that has brought the Chaparral to validated reality.
