Elroy Air Chaparral HOV Aircraft
The Chaparral HOV Aircraft was the first autonomous vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) cargo aircraft we developed at Elroy Air. It served to prove that our vertical takeoff and landing powertrain was up to the challenge of repeatedly lifting and landing a 2000lb aircraft in a range of environmental conditions.
The entire Elroy Air team came together to bring this aircraft to reality. It was an honor to be in the mix with the team every day helping to design, develop, build, and test this aircraft.
