Initially started as my final design thesis, this ongoing project deals with the aftermath of a natural disaster. Capable for being used anywhere, I chose at first to pick a particular region - to deal with the climate and ecosystem - a learning experience for myself and the challenges therein. South East Asia was the part of the world I chose to design for, looking at the challenges of the terrain, pests, rainfall, seasonal changes, and cultural customs.
Whats Out There?
Concepts turned to solutions that could be delivered without the aid of a tractor trailer, or large pieces that need articulated forklifts to be moved because the roads and infrastructure may no longer exist. So solutions should be able to be moved and used by people alone if the situation permits it.
