Licious - Fishing ban
April to August is the period for the annual fishing ban. Fishermen across India are expected to anchor their boats and trawlers and bigger fishing boats are also expected to stop operations. This is breeding season for fish, so fishing activity must be halted in the oceans, for the fish to re-populate. These are also monsoon months and the tides are strong, causing boats to get into accidents.
We needed to communicate to our customers about the availability issue and the ban which was in effect. During this period we encourage the consumption of inland varieties.
