Morningstar is a leading provider of independent investment research, offering comprehensive products and services for a global community.
The objective was to design a suite of icons that symbolized the intricate Morningstar Licensed Data Packages in a meaningful yet simplified way.
Existing Data Packages had been broken apart and redistributed into new packages. The project required research of each package, determination of which icons remained valid, and design of new icons for the redefined packages.
Seven new icons were designed to express the unique qualities of the extensive packages. The icon suite maintains a singular stroke width, and employs color to create spacial planes. The icons are featured in one sheets and brochures.
