Beginning in Photoshop, I assemble a pixel perfect version of how I want my newsletter to appear. From here, I can slice images to use in my code accordingly. The design phase is an important part of the development phase for both your employer, as well as for you as the designer and developer.

Using Litmus as a development tool allows me to see how my project would build out across multiple e-mail platforms, including mobile browsers, so that I can see if I need to edit my code, which is conveniently displayed off to the left.

Using Litmus, I am able to preview how the campaign would look in a e-mail client.
