BACKGROUND AND STORY
FIRE ROBO is a Korean animated series that combines the popularity of robots with firefighting targeted for preschool
children. The story revolves around the main character “Ian” who is recruited by an elite group of fire fighters who are
equipped with hyper-futurisitic robot suits and vehicles.
Each episode carries a different safety theme teaching the audience how to avoid danger as well as work within a team. My role as lead designer was to set the design
direction and overall style for the key elements that are featured on the show. The main challenge was to create and design the weapons, vehicles, and accessories that are featured on the show to be made into toys that have as close to the “real” features on the show.
