Designed an autonomous robot Astra-C that is currently being used to fight the Covid-19 pandemic by using UV-C radiation to disinfect at various hospitals and establishments in India. The technology stack including the mobility and navigation using LiDAR sensors for this robot is developed by Invento Robotics. I designed this self-initiated project within a span of 36 hours period, including the ability to design models meant for manufacturing. The concept is designed utilizing Aluminum material for the outer body since it provides high reflectivity for UV-C radiation. The robot has been designed such that it can carry a telehealth payload as well, that is used for tele screening between doctors and patients along with thermal readings.
