Intermodal
My process is photo-based screen-printing, mixed with drawing and painting mediums. I've been working with ideas of globalization, simplification, and standardization in the creation of this body of work. Intermodal containers dot our landscapes, in ports, on trains, at construction sites, and are architectural forms in there own right. Often when viewing intermodal containers, I see pixels of colour dotting urban and rural landscapes. This body of work seeks to explore the form & function, and the aesthetic of intermodal containers, as well as their impact and influence on our environments.
