DesignAbile / Ability Playground

Ability Playground (2013) is an exhibit design concept aiming to raise awareness of disabilities.
It has been designed by Dario Martini and Isabella Loddo for the DesignAbile 2013 design competition, held by the Archivio Giovanni Sacchi in Milan.
Ability Playground is a 4-part exhibition where visitors are actively engaged to experience 4 different kinds of disability by individually walking paths that hide motor, visual, cognitive and auditive obstacles. The direct experience of the daily issues of the disabled will lead to a major knowledge and consciousness of how does it feel to strive for normality, while the paths can serve as testbeds for data gathering in research for Inclusive Design.
