The slim-line food trolley is for use on current inter-city trains where not only getting past a trolley can be problematic, but when the train is busy the cart becomes incapable of getting through the train due it's size.

Greater levels of employment, shorter lunch breaks and more people working long hours increase the opportunities for snacking on the go, as people try to top up their energy levels in short sharp bursts throughout the day to compensate for those meals which are increasingly being compromised by the demands of modern life.
