The VANMOOF S5/A5 kicklock is an almost invisible lock integrated into the frame of the e-bike. Activated with a simple kick on the dropout button, the lock and alarm engage, securing your bike in hostile environments. The keyless lock unlocks automatically, ensuring the fastest ride, perfect for the urban stop-and-go rides.
I led the S5/SA5 kicklock development, guiding the project from conceptualization to the engineering phase. The team consisted of mechanical engineers, electronic engineers, firmware developers, app developers, and UX designers. As a Lead Innovation Engineer, I played a pivotal role in shaping the project during its conceptual stage—from ideation to the realization of a proof of principle prototype.
