The Art Director will concept and execute unexpected, insightful, and compelling brand ideas, actions, campaigns, and communications – both individually, and with a copywriter, to meet our clients’ objectives. They will have an exceptional portfolio of work that displays superior conceptual problem-solving skills, a discerning eye and impeccable design capabilities; strong knowledge of design, layout, typography, image manipulation, illustration, and animation; command of current art and design software packages; and the ability to produce integrated creative efforts across a variety of tactical applications. Salary: $53K – $65K.
Develop fearless, un-ignorable creative concepts that help solve our clients’ business problems.
Prepare work for internal presentations, presentations to clients, and presentations to vendors for production.
Build keynote decks and other materials needed for presentations.
Present to clients and sell work.
Lead and guide the design, layout and visual aspects of assigned projects.
Work closely and cross-departmentally with all other Cacti through all the phases of the process of a project.
Work with Creative Director and team and producers to manage all vendors, freelancers and artists.
Apply strategic insights in ways that solve assignments with creative ingenuity.
Simultaneously accomplish a range of complex assignments with overlapping timelines, never sacrificing quality or commitment to excellence.
Develop creative solutions that can be effectively applied to a wide range of tactics, including video ideas and scripts, digital advertising concept and layout (banners, paid social video and static, rich media, etc.), print ads, poster and outdoor, event or non-traditional tactics, logo design and branding, packaging, collateral systems, printing technology and art, digital interfaces (web, app, etc.), UI and UX design.
Support the agency’s mission and vision of creating meaningful work and huge impact through Belief & Behavior Design.
Daily entry of accurate timesheets in the agency’s management software.
Portfolio and reel that demonstrate creative skills
Schooling in creative advertising, writing, and conceptual development (advertising degree preferred, but not required)
1-3 years of experience as an art director within an advertising agency setting
Strong knowledge of typography, image manipulation, illustration, and animation
Broad understanding of marketing design and layout
Ability to generate consistently outstanding creative concepts and visual solutions
