Job Description

Pandiscio Green is looking for an experienced, passionate, and well-rounded Art Director to join the team. Responsible for the conceptualization, presentation, and execution of the studio’s core creative work, the Art Director assumes a leadership role within each project. An ideal candidate is a natural and experienced leader, a boundary-pushing aesthete, a thoughtful and articulate communicator, and a strategic problem solver. Managing and delegating tasks to Designers is a central part of this position, as such relevant experience within a creative studio or agency is expected. Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain and substantiate concepts and designs are critical.


Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to research, concept, and develop robust brand strategies and visual identity systems
- Create presentations and pitch design concepts to project teams, clients, and outside collaborators
- Lead weekly client meetings
- Manage Designers, delegate weekly tasks, schedule regular check ins, and ensure projects progress smoothly
- Coordinate with Account Manager and Creative Producer on a regular basis, align on deliverable schedule and status
- Coordinate with Creative Director on a regular basis, reviewing the progress and development of visual content, brand strategy, marketing initiatives, and overall creative
- Design and develop print and digital deliverables along with the Designers
- Assist Designer and Account Manager in finalizing all production specifications for printers, fabricators, web developers, and other third parties
- Research, recommend, and establish relationships with copywriters, photographers, film makers, illustrators, and other creative partners
- Work closely with Creative Producer in developing all film, photography, and media assets

Qualification Standards:
- Education Requirement: Bachelor of Fine Arts
- A strong, confident graphic designer with 6+ years of professional experience in an agency, design studio, or in-house department
- Team leadership and client management experience
- Experience developing brand strategies from the ground up
- Passionate about graphic design
- Equally focused on visual and written content
- Exceptional graphic and verbal presentation skills
- Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficiency using Sketch / Adobe XD
- Experience with frontend design and UX/UI
- Deep understanding of design and production best practices for all things print and digital
- Experience in environmental and/or exhibition design
- Exceptional managerial skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Experience working under tight deadlines
- Ability to take critiques with a positive attitude
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Exhibits high creative standards and is passionate about pushing boundaries
- Maintains a big picture perspective and is able to see the forest for the trees at all times
- The speed of lightning
- The precision of a Swiss clock

Bonus Points:
- Experience with and ability to interpret architectural documents
(e.g., floor plans, elevations, 3D Models, sections, etc.)
- A lover of culture and passionate about at least one of the following: art, architecture, interior design, industrial design, literature, film, fashion, music, travel, and food.
