The basic function of the Creative Director is to provide leadership to the Designers and monitor the operations of the Department and work with the Account Executives and their clients to determine their needs and provide creative solutions to satisfy their requirements.
The Creative Director reports to the company President.
Direct the functions of the Designers.
Interpreting and communicating Client needs to Design personnel and freelance designers (if applicable).
Identify opportunities for cost savings and other improvements, recommending and implementing actions to address these ideas.
Conduct idea sessions on design concepts.
Serve as lead Designer on select projects.
Produce design solutions keeping in mind budgetary constraints.
Scheduling and supervising development of designs.
Work with Estimator, Account Executive and Sr. Project Managers to ensure that Client design and marketing objectives are met and improve the opportunity to close business.
Be involved in RFP and Client presentations as requested by Account Executives.
Oversee department administration, authorization of expenses and approval of PTO requests.
Provide oversight between Design, Detailing and Production so that accurate details, I&D drawings can be generated with specific information and material call outs.
Make sure Design standards are met in order to exceed Client expectations adhering to the PG Exhibits Performance Guarantee.
Ensure that the Project Managers have enough information to conduct the Launch Meetings.
Delegate designs not meeting budgetary thresholds to select PG Exhibits partners (Laarhoven, Nimlok, Orbus, etc).
Obtain project budgets from Account Executives prior to Design meetings.
Complete designs in allotted time frame without compromising creative standards.
Recommend strategic and personnel changes to the President in order to advance the Company.
Manage design staff through communication of project expectation, monitoring job progress, and evaluating project results.
Maintain all relevant design and detailing files on PG Exhibits server as well as via PG Exhibits online client management portal.

Reduce, or eliminate, expenses related to freelance design.
Increased closing ratio through supervision and monitoring of design and development.
