Job Description

Furnished Quarters’ Creative Lead will work closely with the Director of Marketing and provide creative direction of the Furnished Quarters brand and the possible evolution of any sub-brands. The Creative Lead will hold a supervisory role for the graphic design and copy team. As most marketing team members use graphic programs, the Creative Lead will oversee training and design programs to ensure optimal representation of the brand in a clear, creative, and consistent manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Work closely with Marketing Director to craft Furnished Quarters’ creative vision; look, feel, and tone of voice.
Collaborate with Marketing Director and creative team (designer and copywriter), emphasizing high-profile projects.
Execute FQ brand vision, both visually and via copy; layouts, final files for publication/distribution, etc.
Craft a modern voice for FQ and create strong brand standards, executed among all touchpoints.
Ensure all departments implement brand standards across all company materials; print, digital, video, social.
Align with potential outside vendors or freelancers related to graphic design, retouching, copyrighting, photography, printing, etc.
Use advanced design skills to provide tangible creativity for all needs of Furnished Quarters.
Initiate new visual creative direction and brand voice used across marketing campaigns and company initiatives.
Take the lead on advanced creative projects inclusive of web design, videos, presentations, quarterly reports, brochures, emails, landing pages.
Craft templates for design production staff to utilize for fulfillment and customization.
Develop UX design for all technology products (including customer-facing websites) and applications.
Lead creative think tank meetings with internal/external departments for design idea generation.
Coach and manage the professional development of the creative team, guiding their creative initiatives.
Oversee day-to-day activities of the creative team, including reviews, timesheets, and PTO.
Conduct quarterly reviews and staff development.
Provide time management and direction for direct reports to ensure timely completion of projects.
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be highly organized.
Ability to collaborate with other departments, the creative team, and the greater marketing department.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, or related field.
Minimum of 5 – 7 graphic design experience with a solid creative portfolio.
Some agency experience a plus.
Website UX and Social media experience.
Team player with management experience, overseeing direct reports/team members.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently to communicate with management, clientele, and co-workers.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative software including Illustrator, Photoshop, XD (or similar), and InDesign.
Working knowledge of WordPress or other CMS is preferred.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as dictated by business and operational demands.
Possesses proficiency in all Microsoft applications including Excel/Word/MS Outlook.
