Dartmouth Alumni Magazine seeks a Digital Editor to manage the magazine's social media, website, e-newsletter, and digital archive in support of our mission and brand. As our digital editor, you will play a vital role on a small team that produces the bimonthly, award-winning magazine that is editorially independent and has a circulation of 60,000. The successful candidate will drive our digital efforts and play a supporting role in producing the print edition while showcasing experience in reporting, writing, and editing.
What you'll need to bring to us in your new role: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent, preferably in journalism, with at least three years of experience working in web publishing, production, or writing and managing online content. Prowess with social media, a key in our continuing effort to successfully engage a sophisticated audience and grow our online following. Solid writing and editing skills with a sharp eye for proofreading, design, and visuals. A collaborative approach that is second nature and demonstrated through your teamwork and communication style. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Lightroom) and Content Management Systems (Drupal is our preferred CMS). Experience working with photography and print magazines a plus. Lastly, a sense of humor is not negotiable!
