Pandiscio Green is a New York-based creative studio specializing in brand creation, strategy, marketing, advertising, and creative direction. Our work includes a range of projects in luxury real estate, hospitality, art, culture, publishing, and small businesses. Together with our clients, we help develop a narrative and establish an image and voice for projects to increase value and access the desired audience. We collaborate with world-renowned artists, architects, museums, galleries, and developers, among them are Atelier Jean Nouvel, Herzog & de Meuron, SHoP Architects, Rem Koolhaas / OMA, Bjarke Ingels, Four Seasons Hotel, The Standard, Hotel Americano, The Mark Hotel, John Currin, David Salle, Peter Doig, Neue Galerie, Major Food Group, JF Hospitality, Starr Restaurants, and NoHo Hospitality.

The studio is seeking a self-initiating, sharp, motivated Director of Business to work directly with the Partner & Creative Director. The position requires an individual capable of overseeing all aspects of business and general studio operations, on both a micro and macro level. The Director of Business oversees all new business development, financial, operational, HR, legal, and support functions of a full-service design studio. The Director of Business plays a critical role in all operational and financial decisions, and therefore must have impeccable attention to detail and strong financial acumen. An ideal candidate has experience working in a leadership position within a creative studio, hospitality group, and/or real estate marketing agency.


Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of business operations for a full-service design studio
Manage all business development, responding to new business inquiries, RFP’s, and identifying new business opportunities alongside Partner & Creative Director
Create and fosters relationships with prospective, new, and existing clients
Draft, submit, and negotiate proposals and client contracts
Actively manage the scope of work for each project, serving as client liaison regarding all scope requests
Serve as the primary resource for all contractual terms for each project, both internally and externally
Create the studio’s annual budget and financial projections, tracking and forecasting all income, payroll, general expenses etc., and advising Partner & Creative Director on revenue management
Oversee accounts receivable and payable, invoicing all clients, recording all payments, and tracking all studio expenses
Serve as liaison for all legal, accounting, and insurance matters, working directly with external legal counsel, bookkeeper, accountant, and insurance broker
Manage all studio operations, maintenance, and supplies, liaising with external vendors and partners including IT, security, landlord, cleaners etc
Manage all hiring, employee on-boarding, HR compliance, employee benefits, etc., and serve as primary HR contact for all staff


Qualifications Standards:
4-6 years of experience managing a business in the creative or design industry
Bachelor's Degree, Business/Financial field preferred
Experience with project bidding and RFP processes
Experience drafting and negotiating proposals and business contracts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with job tracking, account systems & financial applications (QuickBooks, Excel, Numbers)
Extensive experience with billing and invoicing, financial forecasts, and budgeting
Familiar with creative and production processes
An understanding of employee benefits and PEOs
Superior skills of diplomacy
Remarkable interpersonal skills, personable, and approachable
A nuanced understanding of creative personalities
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Project Management Software (Monday.com), Textura Payment System, or similar.
