As a member of our Advancement Communications team, you will assist in the development and implementation of an effective email marketing strategy to engage our alumni. Working closely with colleagues across our large and complex division, you will impart best practices in segmented email marketing and guide strategy efficiencies with the goal of increasing effectiveness, reach, and engagement while maintaining visual and brand alignment. You will be the master of the master calendar of email outreach to our alumni, thus ensuring we are reaching out in just the right frequency and the right windows of time to draw our audiences to Dartmouth events, programs, and opportunities.
What you'll need to learn in your new role: Advance, iModules. How to work in our complex, fast-paced environment where needs are great and competing priorities abound.
What you'll need to bring to us in your new role: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or Information Technology with at least four years of experience working in email marketing, web publishing, or web production. A working knowledge of testing, coordinating sends, analyzing, and interpreting email campaign data, as well as previous experience with web design tools and content management systems. Excellent oral/written communication skills with attention to detail is essential. Alumni engagement is a team effort and your collaborative nature is critical to our team success. Lastly, your sense of humor is not negotiable!
