We are looking for a graphic designer to work in our office to design environmental graphics. This is a part-time position, 24-30 hours minimum per week.
? Part-time, mid-level graphic designer
? Self-starter needed to design environmental graphics for museum exhibits
? Work on-site in our Brooklyn office
? Local candidates only
? Develop creative designs from concept to creation
? Prepare presentations for clients to review
? Collaborate with other graphic designers on multiple projects
? Collaborate with content producers (writers) while developing graphics
? Collaborate with exhibit designers when determining graphic sizes and shapes
? Collaborate with exhibit designers to assure graphics visually harmonize with the exhibit design (ie: with scenic finishes)
? Prepare production-ready files
? Organize and track graphic progress and changes through approval and production process; and coordinate file delivery
? Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator CC and InDesign CC
? Attention to detail with strong understanding of typography and hierarchy
? Playful sense of style is desirable along with professional design execution
? Ability to read and work with scaled architectural drawings
? Experience with large-scale environmental/exhibit graphics is a plus
? Good oral and written communication skills
? Organized file management
