Epoca International is a designer, importer, and distributor of consumer kitchenware products. We are focused on building strong consumer brands and driving innovation with new product designs that delight consumers. Epoca holds dozens of patents and six global design awards. Our brand portfolio includes the world-famous Tasty brand which are the overhead recipes on your social media channels. We also design and market Ecolution, Primula, Goodful, Country Living and Cooking Light. We proudly manufacture kitchen products for a variety of private label retailer offerings including The Pioneer Woman and Paris Hilton.
The company is on an amazing growth trajectory and looking for a talented, driven, Graphic Designer/Illustrator who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of Products.
•Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity.
•Develop concepts by hand or with software and execute original content.
•Consult with Sales and Merchandising teams on New Product Development.
•Create patterns, designs, florals, etc. in response to buyer, factory and production requests.
•Clarifying and Solving Design Challenges while executing designs and design briefs in a timely manner between US and China Teams.
•Multi-tasking of low and high priority / short/ long range projects.
•Analyze and review tooling drawings for production.
•Create visual and functional prototypes / presentations for internal and customer review.
•Participate in Ideation Sessions, Cross-Functional Brainstorms, Brand development and Research Projects.
•Comfortable acting on constructive design critique and directional changes.
Experience & Qualifications:
•2-5 years – Graphic / Illustrator design experience.
•Proven portfolio of Design and Innovation
•Advanced skills in 2D - Rendering for Presentation, Rapid Prototyping and File Generation for Tooling Production – (Solidworks preferred)
•Exceptional hand sketching with strong form and ergonomic sense – on paper and Wacom tablet for ideation and presentation.
•Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop
•Strong understanding of color, trend and rendering in 2D. Palette Creation and Color Evaluation.
•Animation skills for product presentation a plus.
•Product Lifecycle Experience – from Concept Generation to Prototype and Production Design.
