As the Head of User Experience at LiveRamp, you must combine an expert understanding of the user and their needs with an in-depth comprehension of the technical details required to build successful data products. You must recognize that the details matter on both sides of the business/technical divide, and understand the costs of missing those details.
Lead, hire, manage and develop a team of Product Designers, User Researchers, Technical Writers providing design direction and pushing the quality of our work to evolve the user experience for our whole product portfolio
Empower our existing team of talented designers to do their best work
Own the end-to-end design process of the team, ensuring on time, detailed, and polished deliverables
Provide customer focused leadership by working closely with the business and technical teams to develop personas, jobs to be done, and drive alignment on what is best for the user
Develop and build relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration and efficiency across LiveRamp
Use market analyses and customer research findings to drive design decisions
Collaborate effectively with an agile, multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the feasibility of proposed designs and champion great UX in the face of technical constraints
Incorporate data-driven insights to guide UX strategy
Provide full hands-on design work as needed, iteratively creating interaction flows, wireframes, visual, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications
Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership and gain buy in on proposed approach
10+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar for web and data products in cross-functional teams from start to finish
Ideally have experience managing a global team of designers
4+ years as a manager of a design team
Demonstrate a portfolio of work with a proven track record for solving difficult UX and design problems and simplifying difficult business process to intuitive interfaces for customers
Experience working with products incorporated through acquisition
Experience working with an iteration based development process such as SCRUM
Experience as a leader of multi-disciplinary creative teams
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners, stakeholders and especially to C-Level Executives
Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices with an eye towards iteration and improvement
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment
Have led the design and adoption of a successful design system
Power to influence others and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity
You can produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team
Self-motivated, a good communicator, with the ability to balance great design during short time constraints
Experience using analytics, user research and other approaches to help make decisions and iterate on the product
Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
Type S(tartup) personality: smart, ethical, friendly, hard-working and proactive (no exceptions)
