We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Product Designer(Furniture) for our LA office in North Hollywood. You will be a Product Manager with expertise in physical product development. This position is located in our LA office in North Hollywood and reports directly to the General Manager. The role emphasizes the design, development, and management of our furniture product lines, primarily mattresses and bedding.

Responsibilities:
- Furniture Product Innovation: Spearhead the development of new physical products within mattresses and bedding, as well as optimize existing lines.
- Industry-Specific Market Research: Conduct targeted research focused on consumer preferences and trends in the mattress and bedding industry.
- Performance Metrics: Assess product performance through specific KPIs relevant to physical goods, such as customer reviews, return rates, and durability tests.
- Quality Assurance: Implement strict quality control measures pertinent to furniture production to maintain product integrity.
- Material Sourcing: Collaborate closely with suppliers to identify and procure materials specific to mattress and bedding manufacturing.
- Cross-Departmental Synergy: Coordinate with marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams to guide furniture products from concept to retail readiness.
Required skills/experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Material Science, or a field closely related to furniture design and manufacturing.
- Relevant Experience: Minimum of 5 years in physical product development, with a strong preference for experience in the mattress or furniture industry.
- Consumer Insight: Demonstrated capability in collecting and interpreting consumer feedback specific to retail products.
- Quality Oversight: Hands-on experience in quality control protocols relevant to furniture manufacturing.
- Material Knowledge: Deep understanding of materials commonly used in mattress and bedding production.
- Skill Set: Proficiency in industry-specific market research, data analysis relevant to physical products, and keen attention to detail.
- Location: Must be already located in or willing to relocate to North Hollywood, California.
