Job Description

We’re looking for a Lead Programmatic & Search Strategist to join our rapidly growing digital team. This is a full-time position that we are looking to fill immediately.
We are looking for an ambitious talent with at least 4+ years experience that can help our clients leverage the best of programmatic media buying and paid search for their brands and help transform and embrace modern marketing. This person will be the day to day account lead on assigned programmatic and paid search media accounts, oversee the development of strategies and analysis for assigned clients. You would work closely with the team to ensure campaigns are meeting or exceeding delivery and performance goals.

• Oversee the development of Programmatic and search strategies and analysis for assigned clients
• Work closely with the team to ensure campaigns are meeting or exceeding delivery and performance goals, ensure optimal partner selections are being considered and cutting-edge use of data targeting and audience buying are being delivered
• In partnership with team lead, spearhead innovative Display, Video, Connected TV, and Audio media which achieve client objectives and drive campaign performance
• Set up and maintain multiple PPC campaigns in AdWords to include monitoring, tracking, reporting, optimizing, etc.
• Lead client strategy and reporting calls
• Build, maintain and grow client, Programmatic vendor, and partner agency relationships
• Manage workflow of junior team members to ensure client deliverables meet deadlines
• Ability to develop a deep understanding of several client verticals and how Programmatic plays a role in achieving brand goals for specific brands/clients
• Work with department leads to build out, improve, and evolve Programmatic processes, capabilities and deliverables
• Analyze data in order to make optimization recommendations
• Work closely with partner agencies to align on strategy and optimizations
• Mentor and teach junior team members best practices to Programmatic media buying
• Ability to manage campaign pacing and optimization when needed, using DSPs such as Trade Desk, PulsePoint, AdMission (internal tool), and others
• Analyze performance data and implement optimizations to increase ROI of campaigns
• Partner with analytics and media teams to develop KPIs and measurement plans
• Stay abreast of new Programmatic platforms, trends and best practices through research and/or industry events and conferences
• Actively contribute to thought leadership pieces addressing updates that could impact CMI and our clients
• Identify opportunities for Programmatic, Media, Ad Ops, SEM, SEO and Social Media integration and/or collaboration
• Drive improvements to CMI’s technology stack and to the operational effectiveness of the entire Programmatic team

• 4+ years of hands on DSP programmatic media buying experience, preferably within an agency
o The Trade Desk, DV360 or other
• 4+ years paid search experience
• Datorama experience a plus
• Highly analytical, effectively communicative, resourceful
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills + strong coaching and mentoring skills
• Experience in the financial and healthcare vertical is a plus
• Have strong relationships with digital media vendors, publishers, and key technology platforms
• Significant multi-year experience running ad campaigns on a variety of programmatic (The Trade Desk, DataXu, etc.), search (Google, Bing), and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) advertising platforms
• Strong understanding and proactive approach to keeping up on changes in the digital media industry, especially ad tech tools and systems (DSPs, DMPs, Ad servers, DCO, tag management)
• Hold certification in Google AdWords and/or Facebook certified professional
• Experience and passion for managing multiple clients at once in a fast-paced environment
• Track record of thinking outside the box for innovative ways for agency/clients to use all digital platforms to achieve their goals
• Develop and interpret digital marketing performance data into actionable optimization recommendations to improve return on investment
• Develop comprehensive client specific performance reports; ability to develop and communicate industry POVs a plus
• Provide client-facing recommendations and insights, both in a written and verbal manner, that provide understandable and actionable optimizations
• Generate and communicate clear, compelling, and actionable insights
• Be a platform expert, familiar with all optimization levers and features of the DSPs
• Track, analyze, and provide regular reporting/updates on KPIs
• Keep up to date with industry trends and be a subject matter expert on programmatic
• Ability to extract a story from raw data and build comprehensive reports to illustrate that story and communicate the effectiveness of campaigns
