Job Description
As a part of our core Industrial Design Team, you will be spacing from short-term problem-solving on current product improvements to long-term research and development projects. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will get to design future products, widening our portfolio, based on our innovative scent-based taste technology.
Your responsibilities
- Be a core driver for the creation and evolution of a cutting-edge design system, that positively differentiates us from world-class competitors, and makes our brand shine.
- Translate the design system into a product portfolio, and / or into other, new product categories.
- Continuously challenge the status quo, improving our existing designs to meet the needs of different customer segments, and ideally exceed their expectations.
- Translate customer insights into graspable ideas and tangible concepts.
- Find a contemporary balance between aesthetics and technical solutions, in close collaboration with our engineering team, and other experts.
- Transform your ideas and design concepts into 3D models and develop first mock-ups and functional prototypes, always with the aim to proof and rethink them.
- Deal with different tasks / projects in parallel without losing focus for priority and urgency.
- Work and collaborate with your colleagues in person in our amazing new office in Munich. It is important to us that our interdisciplinary teams work on our products and new ideas together, physically, inspiring one another, surrounded by prototypes.
That's you
- You hold a degree in Industrial or Product Design, or in a related field.
- You have 10+ years of professional experience in product design development, having successfully brought products and product systems to market.
- You have led (project) teams, being responsible for managing clients’ expectations, and meeting deadlines on time, delivering and presenting deliverables that met, or exceeded their expectations. To achieve this, you made your team work together seamlessly with ease and joy.
- You lead by recommending / pushing for the most positively differentiating, most customer-centric, most innovative, most on-brand solutions.
- You see and make use of opportunities to exceed stakeholders’ and customers' expectations.
- You have an eye for detail paired with a strong sense for contemporary aesthetics, that becomes apparent in your portfolio of work samples.
- You are an above average communicator, who conveys visions and ideas to others with ease, and builds strong, mutually respectful relationships.
- You are a self-starter, a fast learner, and share our hands-on mentality.
Ideally you are experienced using project management tools like Asana or Trello.
