Responsibilities
• Collaborate seamlessly with the Senior Product Designer and Senior Design & Prototype Technician in Norwalk, leveraging collective expertise to bring visions to life.
• Contribute to the growth and evolution of our Design Studio in Norwalk, infusing your passion and skills to shape a dynamic Center of Customer Experience and Creative Exchange.
• Craft compelling design and color presentations, leaving a lasting impression both internally and externally.
• Deliver your design proposals and prototypes with precision and punctuality, actively engaging with HMTX business units, design directors, and customers.
• Drive the completion of factory-ready artwork and color concepts for the HMTX design library, showcasing your commitment to excellence.
• Infuse your creativity into the production of high-quality print artwork for both digital and analog printing, contributing to cutting-edge design experiences.
• Partner seamlessly with the team, actively participating in crafting design layouts, print separations, color development, and in prototyping efforts.
• Play a key role in contributing to the innovation of product design and development for hard surface flooring, exploring both Gravure and Digital printing processes to enhance captivating visual experiences.
• Provide valuable support in various stages of the design development process, assisting HMTX business units, design directors, and customers.
• Support initiatives at the Design Studio in Norwalk. Contribute your experiences in customer meetings, creative workshops, and events on the dynamic Norwalk campus.

Knowledge and Experience
• 3+ years’ experience in the Interior Design industry.
• Ability to navigate creative and project management tools like Miro and Monday.com with ease.
• Applied expertise in color creation by using Adobe Photoshop and/or AVA software.
• Demonstrated creative approach to tasks, efficiently managing multiple development projects.
• Effectively able to convey ideas through written and verbal communication, fostering smooth collaboration.
• Must possess a refined aesthetic perception, adept sense of color and design skills.
• Previous experience in the Decorative printing industry is advantageous.
• Showcased proficiency in Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong proficiency in color separations and repeats.

Education
• Degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design, or related field.

Working Conditions
• Low to moderate degree of domestic travel may be required to support customer meetings, events, tradeshows, etc…
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or maneuver up to 50 lbs. Low to moderate level of physical activity.
• Must be able to work in a professional office, and/or industrial/warehouse setting, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, or walking with frequency.
• Must be able to work Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm EST (in a hybrid capacity in office/remote in Norwalk, CT). Additional hours (including evenings and weekends) may be necessary based on business needs. Expect 2 to 3 days each week in-office/remainder will be remote. Some flexibility allowed based on manager approval.

The ideal candidate would ultimately have the desire and ability to work in Norwalk, CT, at our state of the art facilities in a hybrid capacity (in office and remote) on a weekly basis or; you must be willing to relocate to or near our campus for a reasonable commute time to meet business needs. Relocation assistance, if deemed necessary, shall be provided to the hired candidate.
