We are looking for a creative individual to join our team as a 3D artist. Help us create the unique animal sculptures, rock formations and thematic elements that make Kalahari Special. The responsibilities of the 3D artist include using a variety of techniques to mold and create aesthetically pleasing three-dimensional objects, including carving, shaping clay, or computer modeling. Materials used in sculpting include concrete, Foam, Clay, Metal and wood.
Model three-dimensional artifacts both traditionally out of clay, Foam, Metal and wood
Create concepts for new sculptures
Utilize hand tools, power tools
Reference lifelike or living models while creating the objects.
Refer to photographs or scenery for inspiration.
Cut, twist, laminate, secure, and fasten raw and manufactured materials.
Create Silicon molds for casting resin.
Select materials for new projects.
Travel regularly to install completed projects
Nice to have:
Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as 3Ds, Meshmixer or Zbrush
Experience using a CNC milling Machine
Experience sculpting EPS Foam
Excellent creativity and artistic skills
Experience working with power tools
A strong portfolio of pervious work and completed projects
Excellent time management skills
A high mechanical and structural aptitude
Be available to Travel 4-5 times a year
