Our team is looking for a curious, creative, and hardworking industrial designer to join our small and fast paced Design and Insights team. As a senior industrial designer on our team, you will cross-collaborate and lead human centered design activities within a variety of areas in our business. You will enjoy this role if you love tracking and implementing the most recent design trends, designing highly desirable products for a wide range of markets, and inspiring and leading teams to quickly visualize conceptual products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Industrial Designer:
The work carried out by the Industrial Design varies and may include some of the following:
Using human centered design methodology to observe and understand how products are used by our customers
Ability to define a design language for product and hardware collections
Ability to digitally create sketches that display iterative form development, CMF designs, storyboarding for research, and more.
Ability to proficiently create CAD models for concept development, renderings, and animations
Ability to evaluate design ideas based on factors such as appearance, ergonomics, design-function relationships, and materials to determine if a design meets consumer/customer specifications
Ability to present and communicate your process of concept exploration, innovative and divergent solutions, a clear process, and visually appealing presentations
Ability to create prototypes by hand and leveraging machines such as 3D printers, CNC’s, laser cutters, and more
Collaborate with product management and product development to bring designs from concept to manufacturing ready products.
Manage a team of industrial designers to deliver differentiated product concepts while considering business
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects successfully, while also meeting deadlines and setting clear expectations
Experience collaborating with external partners to achieve business objectives

Education and/or Experience
5+ years working as industrial designer
3D modeling skills - Solid Edge and SolidWorks (preferred) or any other equivalent
Rendering and Animation skills – Keyshot preferred.
Proficient in Sketchbook Pro, Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Excel for data analysis and project tracking
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
