SENIOR MULTIMEDIA DESIGNER, CREATIVE SERVICES
SUMMARY
The right candidate will have branding and creative experience, be a team player and provide creative solutions while adhering to the NCBA and Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.® brand standards, as well as provide support to multimedia production services to all NCBA departments and state partners.
This position is part of the Creative Services department and reports to the Sr. Executive Director, Federation State Services. The Senior Multimedia Designer ensures quality production of a finished print, digital, dynamic, and video projects. They execute highly engaging visual communications pieces, including but not limited to infographics, advertisements, audio/video, and other digital communications design, layout, brochures, publications, advertisements, etc. In collaboration with the Sr. Executive Director, Federation State Services, Director, Multimedia Production and the Program Manager, the Senior Multimedia Designer concepts/proposes, produces, edits, maintains and updates various supporting print, digital, and multimedia communications assets for all departments of NCBA and its partners. The Senior Multimedia Designer also maintains strong relationships with existing print/digital vendors and works with the Manager, Federation State Services to acquire and process print bids and invoices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. These examples do not include all the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
Provide art direction and graphic design services, including concepting and presenting relevant creative that solves visual communications needs and aligns with strategic priorities across departments, partners, and brands.
Provide production services, including typesetting and proof corrections, art preparation, electronic illustration, photo re-touching, etc.
Function collaboratively and independently to develop and maintain the integrity of visual identities for NCBA®, Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.®, CattleCon, and state beef council brands.
Collaborate with Sr. Executive Director and Director, Multimedia Production to ensure that materials created comply with brand standards and checkoff attribution requirements.
Extend national assets to state beef council partners (i.e. Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.® campaigns, beef nutrition and culinary assets).
Aid in developing marketing plans and strategies for specific program areas (i.e. annual convention CattleCon).
Collaborate with internal and external team members to develop creative concepts, content, clear direction, and timelines that achieve objectives.
Provide visual communications assets (still or motion) to support programs, including but not limited to infographics, advertisements, video editing, and animation. *
Edit, customize, and repurpose video content, including but not limited to short-form video, long-form video, and animated video. *
Build new and maintain existing relationships with vendor partners, and aid Director, Multimedia Production in acquiring and processing production cost estimates and invoices.
Provide print bids and creative options to fit client's budget and distribution needs.
Design/layout internal newsletters, marketing materials, communication pieces and publication support.
Manage, organize, and tag a growing archive of creative assets via the digital asset management system.
Serve as a mentor to entire Creative Services team to facilitate professional growth in their role.
Stay up to date on design trends, media platforms, and competitors, to collaborate with team members and improve collective body of work.
Assist team members with non-production-related projects such as industry conferences and training workshops.
Other job duties as assigned.
*Video editing skills preferred, but not required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design/visual arts or an accredited graphic design trade school.
EXPERIENCE – 6+ years' experience or commensurate professional experience in a graphic design/creative role.

SKILLS – Understanding and eye for great visual design and the ability to manage design specs into finalized assets. Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite and adept at learning new software as needed. Must possess good time management skills, be very budget conscious and have a great customer service attitude. This individual must be detail oriented and must be able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing diverse schedules and priorities. Must be proficient in creating print, web-ready, or broadcast files. The successful candidate must also possess the skills, resourcefulness and energy to handle multiple projects, work effectively with staff at all levels of an organization as well as with external print vendors and as part of a design team, as well as function effectively in high-pressure situations.
