Clutch is looking to place a Senior Pharmaceutical Copywriter for one of our clients in the Greater New York City Area! A pharmaceutical copywriter is a rare breed. A good one should have both sides of the brain cooking. You need to navigate the intricacies of the body, regulatory rules and work varying project topics. We’re looking for hungry writers who won’t shy away from a challenge. Writers who embrace the complexities of the pharmaceutical industry. Writers who inspire their teammates with their fire and passion.
You should know how to:
•Do detailed research on therapeutic topics and adapt your findings to support your strategic communications
•Annotate references and create reference submission decks
•Verbally sell, debate, or support your research internally, with the client or in front of a med/legal review committee
•Write manuscripts that are concise, pithy, logically organized and smart
•Think visually: Can you envision your copy on the page or screen? Will it fit? Is it too much or too little?
•Be able to find a way to be creative in our highly regulated industry: catchy headlines, visual ideas that break the mold
•Strive for atypical pharmaceutical advertising concepts.
Skills and experience:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• Life sciences background is a plus
• 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent writing and conceptual skills
• Familiarity with AMA style
• Polished presentation skills
• Knowledge of digital and print formats
