Job Description

Responsibilities
• Bring your creative touch to life by crafting high-quality print artwork for both digital and analog printing.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the Senior Design & Prototype Technician in Norwalk, blending expertise to bring visions to life.
• Complete factory-ready artwork and color concepts for the HMTX design library.
• Drive innovation in product design and development for cutting-edge hard surface flooring, utilizing both Gravure and Digital printing processes to create stunning visual experiences.
• Elevate our Design Studio in Norwalk into a thriving Center of Customer Experience and Creative Exchange. Your passion and expertise will play a pivotal role in supporting HMTX business units, design directors, and customers at every exciting stage of the design development process.
• Present your design proposals and prototypes with precision and punctuality, engaging HMTX business units, design directors, and customers.
• Spearhead the entire creative journey, from crafting design layouts, print separations, color development to embossing and seamless prototyping. Collaborate closely with global HMTX offices and manufacturing partners, fostering a dynamic atmosphere of communication and cooperation.
• Take the reins at the Design Studio in Norwalk, becoming the go-to contact for HMTX business units and design directors. Elevate experiences in customer meetings, creative workshops, and events on the dynamic Norwalk campus.
• Weave captivating design and color presentations, leaving an indelible mark both internally and externally.

Knowledge/Experience
• 3+ years’ experience in the Decorative printing industry.
• Ability to bring show experience in color separations and repeats, along with knowledge of color measurement practices and tools.
• Applied expertise in color creation using Adobe Photoshop and AVA software.
• Demonstrated creative approach to tasks, efficiently managing multiple development projects with ease.
• Effectively able to convey ideas through written and verbal communication, fostering smooth collaboration.
• Exhibit strong time management skills within a collaborative team environment.
• Navigate creative and project management tools like Miro and Monday.com with ease.
• Must possess a refined aesthetic perception, adept sense of color and design skills.
• Previous experience in the Decorative printing industry is advantageous.
• Showcased proficiency in Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong knowledge of digital ICC profiles with a focus on accuracy and precision.

Education/Certifications
• Degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design, or related field.

Working Conditions
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or maneuver up to 50 lbs. Low to moderate level of physical activity.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally to support customer meetings, events, tradeshows, etc… as business demands.
• Must be able to work in a professional office, and/or industrial/warehouse setting, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, or walking with frequency.
• Must be able to work Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm EST (in a hybrid capacity in office/remote in Norwalk, CT). Additional hours (including evenings and weekends) may be necessary based on business needs. Expect 2 to 3 days each week in-office/remainder will be remote. Some flexibility allowed based on manager approval.

The ideal candidate would ultimately have the desire and ability to work in Norwalk, CT, at our state of the art facilities in a hybrid capacity (in office and remote) on a weekly basis or; you must be willing to relocate to or near our campus for a reasonable commute time to meet business needs. Relocation assistance, if deemed necessary, shall be provided to the hired candidate.
