Lanard Toys is an innovative toy company looking for a creative and passionate Toy Product Designer. This full-time and on-site position offers great creative opportunities and growth potential. Looking for Junior to Mid-Level Product Designer
Product Designer Responsibilities Include:
- Work according to project schedules while exercising discretion and independent judgment to ensure the timely delivery of development pipeline.
- Brainstorm new toy ideas
- Create sketches of new toy concepts
- Produce renderings and presentations for products and ideas
- Create orthographic drawings for production
- Kitbash quick study hands-on models
- Build digital models for 3d printing prototypes
- Create company specific product specification sheets
- Work in conjunction with our Hong Kong Engineering team on day-to-day project correspondences.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• A passion for toy design and an eye for good aesthetic design.
• Stay abreast of new market trends and retailer programs.
• Participate in creative brainstorm sessions.
• The candidate is preferably a degree holder in Product Design, Toy Design, Entertainment Design, Illustration or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience as a design professional with a passion for great design.
• This position requires proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Knowledgeable in 3D software to build 3D printable designs. Using Zbrush, Fusion 360, Solidworks or equivalent software.
• Quick and proficient at sketching to create impactful designs and to solve design issues thru creative solutions.
• Likes to be hands-on with basic knowledge of shop tools, modeling painting, materials, and manufacturing process.
