Bachelor's Degree in visual effects, animation, multi media, marketing, interior design, or industrial design required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years experience in visualization design or related field to include two (2) years experience managing professional level employees or program/process management. Experience in aircraft interiors desired.
Responsible for developing and implementing strategic visualization tools that exhibit aircraft interior concepts in dynamic and engaging presentations for customers and prospects. Lead visualization team to develop innovative tools that meet marketing objectives and be based on compliance with certification regulations and engineering standards. Manage the day to day activities and scheduling of the visualization designers.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Provide innovative visualization tools that exceed customer expectations. 2. Provide management, direction, training and development of the department to ensure flexible, comprehensive, multi-media design concepts are suitable for presentation and implementation. 3. Communicate effectively with Chairmen/CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and high net worth individuals to meet business objectives. 4. Harmoniously balance close relationships with sales and marketing departments, internal shops, vendors, and management to keep clear lines of communication and maintain superior working relationships with all clients. 5. Maintain a strategic awareness of the latest trends in visualization tools. 6. Keep abreast of all customer deadlines, obligations, and requirements of the department and ensure compliance. 7. Work closely with outside vendors and purchasing to coordinate desired visualization software and hardware acquisition. 8. Teach, train, and coordinate the department's work in a manner that maintains GAC's standards. 9. Travel (possibly on short notice) for presentations, client meetings, exhibits, and vendor meetings. 10. Promote efficient work practices and processes. 11. Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
Additional Functions: 1. Other duties may be assigned by management in order to meet department or business objectives on an as needed basis. Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements: 1. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects and priorities under extremely tight deadlines required.
2. Ability to create, read, and understand construction drawings, aircraft location designations, and FAA regulations relating to interior finish requirements. 3. Ability to work with multiple 3D applications (Catia, Maya, Mental Ray, 3ds Max, etc.) to integrate data for final deliverables for customer presentations. 4. Masters degree in business, management, visual effects, animation, multi media, marketing, interior design, or industrial design is desired.
