coccina 08 : diploma project - In this futuristic - but still very realistic kitchen concept - all the painful tasks such as cleaning and washing have been simplified, the movements around the two working areas - "wet" and "cooking" - are now much easier. Each element of the kitchen is designed to allow objects to come to the user, instead of having the user moving to reach every object. The bins are built in and open up just under the table top. An interactive screen, acting as an interface for all functions in the kitchen and a media display, is integrated at eye-height. The overall shape of coccina allows to work seated, and makes movements and communication easier around the kitchen. The coccina concept kitchen is an example of how a structured top-down design process can lead to very realistic high-value adding solutions.
American Hardwood Association contest. - Design competition for the American Hardwood Association : create a piece of furniture to promote the association in Spain. This piece had to be an high value wood piece. My choice was to build it out of plain wood, and design it as a sculpture. Its shape operate as a pattern, making it an even more massive and outstanding piece. I also wanted it to be a meeting point between an old material an modern shapes and lines, in order to promote wood's high potential in contemporary furniture designs.
HOT : a range of cosmetics designed for mobility for the 15-25. - For this project, I wanted to design a global brand image, which included : its name, logo, graphic identity, and the whole range of products. Cosmetic products for men was the main theme. I choose to work on cosmetics because there are a lot of improvements to be made for men cosmetics, which are not yet designed for men’s way of life! There is even more work to be done for teenagers cosmetic products, because teenagers are potentialy future high-value customers.
