Jarreau Ortega

A Whisper of Smoke is a 2d-platforming short story game about PTSD. The project was inspired by PTSD cases found in children during research and is aimed to communicate how it manifests and unfolds.

I programmed the particle effects and collidable smoke obstacles. I implemented the minimap and tutorial icons for teaching controls. I worked with my teammates to design the level and platforming layout. I also worked on the animations for the star collecting icon.
