One of my favorite things about working on Monster High was collaborating with the Entertainment team to come up with monsterfied themes for dvds and products each season. While I worked on the brand, we created 9 movie titles and a full line of product to go with each, including dolls, playsets and accessories.

"Freaky Fusion" - Frankie Recharge Station - before and after effect. I loved that we were able to use science to make Frankie's hair stand on end as it does in the animations. My only wish was that the consumer could hold the doll without a housing to make it happen, but alas, we opted for safety first.
"Freak du Chic" - Visually speaking, this was one of my FAVORITE lines!! ! I love the color scheme, prints and accessories. We originally pitched it as a dvd thematic but ultimately pursued it as a webisode due to it being a somewhat polarizing thematic for some.

This OG high school was a cool transforming playset that went from compact, portable to a full layout to play out all kinds of Monster high school stories.
A few years later, we had the opportunity to make another much larger scale high school playset. I love the incredible detail that went into this playset and all of the hidden secrets to discover while playing.

Leading the Monster High designers was a refreshing departure from the other brands in my portfolio.

As the design lead on Monster High, I managed, mentored, and led a diverse design team of industrial, fashion and graphic designers.

While working on this brand, I learned new, sophisticated play patterns for older girls and the importance on design details for this audience.

Not only did we create vast and amazing product lines, we also partnered with Entertainment and Marketing to develop themes, stories, features and characters that worked to sell product, brand and content.

Several of the toys in this brand were high complexity feature products with technology, electronics, and scientific magic that made them come to un-life!
