MicroInjection System - Part of a futuristic Bath and Kitchen system, this medical device was designed to painlessly deliver doses of medicine to the wearer through microscopic silicon needles. The device reminds the wearer of each application, indicates if the dosage has been properly applied, and presents a fresh dose at the appointed time. Alternatively, the device can also be used to deliver emergency medication (for allergic reactions, etc.)
Virtual Eyes Exhibit - This exhibit model was created for the Giltspur Design Competition to introduce a new vitual reality gaming company and its products. Designed for a dark environment, the layout presents a dramatic display at a distance and closeup to exhibit visitors. The structure and lighting reinforces the fictitious company logo, a key to marketing a new company in a fiercely competitive market.
Mixed Media Table - Glass, steel, slate, and bronze are layered to illustrate the quotation, etched on the glass, about the personal nature of experiences providing the defining context for an individual's perspective. Contrasting architectural and organic elements represent the types of experiences that become part of this context. The small square frame in the center of the table allows individuals to place an object of personal significance in the piece, facilitating "personalization" of the table.
Ceramics - These pieces reflect my interest in non-industrial materials and asymmetrical forms to add visual interest to simple forms in limited and mass production pieces.
Modern Place Setting - Developed as part of a test project, this 4 piece place setting follows the trend of a single set of china used for both every day and more formal settings. Each plate was designed to be used individually or, when stacked, to create a more intricate overall pattern.
