i-Theatre
Between late 2023 and 2024,
I was involved by Edutech in the redesign of the i-Theatre, an interactive desk, usable in various educational contexts, thanks to which it is possible to create animated stories in a collaborative, simple, and playful way.
The design team I was part of, was led by Giovanni Fumagalli, founder of CC91 (architecture and design studio based in Rome). Edoardo Valenti, also from CC91, and Irene Guerrieri were part of the team as well.
Our task was to renew the design of the i-Theatre, taking into account numerous aspects — including aesthetic, constructive, and functional ones — while maintaining elements of continuity with the previous model.
My contribution mainly involved simplifying the user interface to make it even more intuitive for children (but also for adults); organizing the internal electronics components considering space requirements and assembly issues; and studying some constructive aspects, such as the “extension” element.
