LARGE DESIGN: CATRINAS-GEISHA

Moana Cocktail Bar is located at Nhow Amsterdam Rai hotel’s first floor and is the flagship space of the hotel’s public areas, a meeting
point for Amsterdamers and a hubspot for tourists from all around the world.

The Moana Bar large compostition is a bold graphic statement, transforming the space with an impacting fusion of Japanese and Mexican visual culture. Spanning an entire wall, the design brings together two iconic catrinas—one reimagined as a modern geisha, the other adorned with vibrant Mexican florals—set within a dynamic mosaic of symbolic elements. Ethereal Japanese yurei (??) and bursts of color from Mexican traditions intertwine, creating a surreal, immersive narrative.
