Fingertips Ideation - Interzinc wanted students to design an electronic that utilized aluminum extrusion as its primary fabrication process. I designed a hand-held mobile device that allows the visually impaired to translate text into Braille at the push of a button.
Fingertips Solution - Small rods underneath a flexible, mold-able surface raise in order to quickly create a page of Braille. Not only does it translate text to Braille, but it has speakers that can play audio files as well. A fold-out stand allows the tablet to adapt for better ergonomics.
