Parametric headphone design
This headphone concept was developed as a lightweight, comfortable, and adaptable product using a modern industrial design approach. Instead of a fixed geometry, it is based on a parametric system that enables flexible control of form and structure, allowing easy adaptation to different user needs.
The design was created using Grasshopper in combination with Rhinoceros 3D. These tools generate complex geometries through parameters and rules rather than manual modeling. Adjusting inputs updates the entire model, enabling fast iterations and efficient development.
A key focus is weight reduction. Material is used only where structurally necessary, resulting in a lightweight but stable construction that improves long-term comfort. The parametric setup also allows variation of ear cups, headband shape, and proportions.
This enables fast creation of different design versions and adaptation to various head shapes and user preferences.
