And, like our 4-legged friends of a dog-eat-dog industry, we want to be sure to properly mark our territory, depreciating and demeaning the competition along the way.
Though business cards--as a stand-alone promotional device--are nice and cute, the "porta-portfolio" (as I like to call it) is much nicer and far more effective at improving your chances of earning prospects' business!

Dolton Basketball Camps business cards - Mr. Glenn Dolton, hired me to design his logo and business cards. My goal was to emulate the rubber texture of a basketball on his business cards, but he didn't quite have the type of budget needed to do so. I did what I could.

He ended up making a lot of changes to the photos and so the book was never printed in time. This is the cover and back spread.

At the time of the poster's conceptualization, I was gathering influences from the Japanese avant-garde movement of the 60's, 70's + 80's. The graphic represents both vinyl and cd simultaneously, while also representing the energy of the Sun - hence the name of the club, SOLAS.

The symbol was designed to represent both positive and negative energies and the way in which these energies affect the single cell, causing various cancers, ills, and ailments.
