This is a frame from an original clip, an Omni Flash clip of characters walking in an office lounge area, admiring the design. It shows good character realism. I will add a clip, below, in which I ask for them to "turn around and dance out of the office lounge."
In the Omni Flash video addition, the couple starts to dance as they leave the room. Character realism is good, but a new glass structure has been added on the left, and in the distance
In the Veo 3.1 Fast clip that has been added, the couple also starts to dance out of the room. Characters are not as realistic or as true to original video clip characters as in Omni Flash, but the geometry remains completely accurate.
Since I can't extend video clips as I used to be able to do in Flow, with the seamless intelligent transitions, I have tried using a frame from the first clip as a start for a second clip. In the first video sequence I've used the new Omni Flash for the addition, and in the second sequence I've used Veo 3.1 Flash as the addition.

Compare Flow's Omni Flash and Veo Fast for casual clip extension

Quick experiment extending a video using the last frame of the video as the first frame of the next clip.

In the past I could extend Veo 3.1 Fast clips seamlessly with another Veo Fast clip, with natural, intelligent transitions created automatically between the clips. That is not possible now, as Veo Fast is not available for a second clip, and the new Omni Flash video clips cannot be extended at all.

Because I anticipate needing to walk some characters through a long space in a new experimental project, I wanted to see what it would look like to use a frame from an original clip as the start for an extension of that clip.

I tried a simple prompt asking for the couple in the first clip to turn around and dance out of the space.

With Veo Fast the architecture remained accurate. With Omni Flash, the characters remained true and very realistic but the architecture suffered; e.g. new structures and chairs were added.
