MNNIT has already set up a corpus fund for the development purpose. The proposed committee will have a dean planning and development as its head. The other members of the committee will include chairman, civil works and maintenance committee, president, students’ activity centre, and former students to be nominated by the alumni association.
MNNIT’s alumni is well placed around the world and they have expressed their keen desire to help the institution in its development. Some of the projects that would be undertaken by the institute from the contribution made by the alumni are construction, renovation of swimming pool, and renovation of hostel washrooms. The committee with its members from the alumni and the institute will look after the construction process. It has also been decided that the amount earmarked by the alumni association for both the projects will be deposited with the institute. The work will be undertaken by the institute as per rules. However, at the same time it would be ensured that the work is performed as per the desire of the former students who are making the contributions to the fund and also as per the guidelines of the institute.
About MNNIT: MNNIT is a National institute of Technology and like other NITs it is classified as an institute of national importance. Located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, the campus of MNNIT spread over 222 acres on the bank of river Ganges. The institute has 8 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. The campus includes computer center, central library, CAD lab, Geo lab, Concrete lab, heat engine lab, and other essential amenities that students need to study comfortably. Alumni to help MNNIT in its progress & development

The alumni of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology would help the institute in its progress and development. The Institute is going to set up a separate alumni fund management committee. The committee would be given the charge to oversee proper utilization of the funds being provided by the alumni from around the world.
